Stephen studied law at the London School of Economics, graduating in 1992. After doing his Law Society Finals, Stephen trained at Moss Beachley and Mullem, a legal aid firm in Marylebone. Remaining at Moss Beachley and Mullem after completing his training, Stephen specialised in Housing, Welfare Benefits and Employment Law.
In 1999 he moved to Straker Holford in Lewisahm, where he specialised in Housing and Welfare Benefit Law. When that firm closed down in 2004, Stephen moved to Morrison Spowart in Catford, where he continued to specialise in Housing and Welfare Benefit Law, until moving to Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network in October 2016. During his time at Morrison Spowart, Stephen was frequently listed in the Legal 500 as one of London’s leading housing solicitors.
